Singapore Tourism Board (STB) released the country’s tourism sector performance figures for May 2008 this week.
All performance figures were in comparison to the same time last year, the information analysing only the top 15 visitor-generating markets.
According to the STB 828, 000 travellers visited the country which is a record 0.8 percent growth, with Visitor Days (Visitor Arrivals x Average Length of Stay) an estimated 3.5 million days, showing an increase of 12.1 percent.
Revenue for gazette hotels room revenue reached an estimate of S$182 million, which was a 19.3 percent growth from the previous year. And revenue per available room (Revpar) grew 23 percent, giving a S$205 figure
