The ABC's news director John Cameron has arrived in Singapore to meet with South Asia correspondent Peter Lloyd following the journalist's arrest last week on drugs charges.
"Yes, I can confirm that," a spokeswoman for the ABC said when asked if Mr Cameron was in Singapore.
But she could not say whether Mr Cameron had already met Lloyd or at what time he was likely to meet him.
More details would be available later on Monday, the spokeswoman said.
