Singapore awards $270 mln airport security deal to Cisco

SINGAPORE, April 28 (Xinhua) -- The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Certis Cisco signed a Master Security Services contract on Monday for security services at Changi Airport, Seletar Airport, Changi Airfreight Center and the Air Traffic Control Center.

CAAS said in a statement that the master contract was meant to maintain a high level of security while improving the service standards of security staff.

The 360 million Singapore dollars (about 267 million U.S. dollars) contract is for five years, up to March 31, 2013, with the option to extend for a further five years.
