Singapore's Feb. Official Foreign Reserves Rise

Singapore's official foreign reserve increased to US$171.73 billion in February, the Monetary Authority of Singapore revealed Friday. Foreign reserves totaled US$167.64 billion in January.

Total reserves stood at $239.35 billion in Singapore dollar terms, up from $237.44 billion in the prior month. Special Drawing Rights rose to S$506.6 million from S$501.6 million in January. The reserve position with IMF was S$124.5 million, smaller than the S$128.7 million in January. Gold and foreign exchange amounted to S$238.72 billion compared with S$236.81 billion in the previous month.
