In Singapore, mobile WiMax service was launched with equipment developed by Posdata, a Korean WiBro, or Korea-developed mobile WiMax, equipment provider.
Posdata said that it concluded a contract with Singaporean provider QMax Communications in last year to supply WiBro equipment. It started supplying USB type devices and system equipment such as base stations from the beginning of the year to build WiBro network in southern costal areas and major ports of Singapore.
