AD Chips Unveils SoC for Multimedia Devices

AD Chips, a local semiconductor company, announced that it developed SoC for multimedia network devices. Named Eagle, the chip processes high quality video and audio when restarting the paused video or processing graphics.
The company said that Eagle incorporated 32 bit CPU processor, supports H.264 decoder, graphic accelerator. It best fits to portable devices like navigation, PMP and game console.

AD Chips said that the chip's target market is China and it will be mass produced by 0.18 micron process technology at Chartered Semiconductor of Singapore.
