A Seattle woman who co-owned and operated two medical marijuana dispensaries received a 42-month prison sentence Friday in U.S. District Court in Seattle for conspiracy to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to engage in money laundering.
Jing Jing Mo, 31, a citizen of Singapore, was co-owner of the Seattle Cannabis Cooperative with two locations, in the Rainier Valley and Greenwood. Mo and her partner Craig Dieffenbach, 61, entered guilty pleas last August, admitting selling marijuana for profit under guise of running a cooperative for sick persons.
In her plea agreement, Mo admitted offering to sell 25 pounds of cannabis for distribution across the country. Mo and Dieffenbach also admitted laundering money from the sale of marijuana to pay to modify homes in order to produce marijuana.
Mo is likely to be deported following her prison term. Full story
