Smartest Singapore 2012 - The Search for Singapore's Cleverest Children

Comment: On Children's Day, PM Lee was urging parents to let kids have their childhood. Now his government agency, MDA, is promoting such competition that will only add more pressure on our primary school children. Is the Prime Minister's call just pure rhetoric?

Skoolbo today kicks off Smartest Singapore 2012, the inaugural challenge event in the search for Singapore’s smartest kids from P1 to P6. Smartest Singapore is organised by Skoolbo and supported by Samsung, Microsoft, Collins, F&N Magnolia, Swensen’s, Bioglan, ArtScience Museum, the Star Vista and the Media Development Authority of Singapore. The event aims to showcase the wonderfully talented primary children of Singapore.
Children will compete in 100 second speed challenges in languages (English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil), mathematics and general knowledge via a specially modified version of the Skoolbo learning game engine. Full story
