Mindef in talks with telco over camera-removal service

CNET Asia understands from an anonymous source that Singapore's Ministry of Defence (Mindef) has approached a local telco to provide a camera removal service for smartphones, but the plans fell through as the telco realised that it would have to provide the warranty.
The source further disclosed that Mindef is currently in talks with another telco instead and that extra charges will be incurred. Additionally, a one-year warranty will be provided by the telco and that this service will only apply to selected models. Full story
