Over 98% of residents felt a sense of belonging to their estate or town and 90% were satisfied with their lives, according to the Sample Household Survey 2008.
The Sample Household Survey 2008 (SHS 2008) findings reveal that the overall social well-being of HDB communities is high. Over 98% of residents felt a sense of belonging to their estate or town, while more than 90% indicated that they were satisfied with life. In terms of social capital, residents had relatively healthy levels of trust, were willing to help each other in times of need, and expressed confidence in institutions. Full Story
