Samoa's Disaster Management Office says 100 people may have been killed
by this morning's earthquake and subsequent tsunami.The tsunami was caused by a powerful 8.3 magnitude earthquake, which struck 200 kilometres off the coast of American Samoa.
Witnesses say the wave flattened villages swept dozens of people out to sea.
