SINGAPORE, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's manufacturing industry posted its smallest contraction in April over the past seven months, local media reported on Tuesday.
According to TV broadcaster Channel NewsAsia, the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), a leading indicator for manufacturing, stood at a reading of 49.2 points in April, up from 47.1 in March.
