SingTel ‘monitoring’ India, Thailand developments

SINGAPORE Telecommunications Ltd said it’s monitoring developments in India and Thailand, where it holds stakes in the nations’ biggest mobile-phone operators, after its stock fell the most in more than two weeks.

At least 101 people were killed in India’s financial hub of Mumbai after gunmen armed with rifles and grenades stormed five- star hotels on Wednesday.

Separately, Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat rebuffed a call from the army chief, Anupong Paojinda, to step down to end five months of deadly protests that forced the closure of Bangkok’s international airport.
