IOC President To Visit Singapore 2010

nternational Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge is heading a delegation travelling to Singapore Friday for a three-day visit, the first since Singapore won the bid to host the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2010.

While in Singapore the IOC President is to receive an update on preparations for the 2010 Youth Games.

The signing ceremony for the host city contract will be held at the Istana, to be witnessed by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The Prime Minister is also hosting a dinner for Dr. Rogge and his delegation.

The Straits Times reports Dr. Rogge will be visiting various Youth Olympic Games venues, such as the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and the Singapore Sports School.
