Ex- ICA staff jailed, fined for fiddling with citizenship applications

When Mr Mohamed Saif Mohamed Salleh, who was married to a Filipino, needed help to get citizenship for his two children, he turned to a man he knew.
Tan Poh Guan, 54, a part-time musician, then introduced him to Ng Chun Wei, 35, an analyst with the Border Watch Unit of the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
Tan told Ng that Mr Mohamed Saif would be willing to pay a fee in return for the help. Ng later took a bribe to try and push the applications. Full story
