Filipinos travelling to Singapore surged 24% in 2011

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said that Philippines ranked sixth among foreign tourists last year when 678,000 visits were posted by Filipino travelers. This represents a 24-percent jump to the previous year’s figure of 544,000.
Sherina Chan, the Board’s area director for the Philippines and Brunei, said the increase in Filipino travel to Singapore pushed the Philippine market by two tiers up in the ranking of the top 10 foreign visitors. Full story
