PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli claimed that the RM250mil government soft loan given to NFC was used as collateral to get bank loans from Malayan Banking Berhad dan United Overseas Bank Limited to open the supermarket.
“The shares of supermarket operator, Farmhouse Supermarkets Pte Ltd, is jointly owned by family members of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
“PKR's investigation show that Farmhouse Supermarkets Pte Ltd has become an anchor tenant to a luxury retail mall called Star Vista and will be situated at an elite area near Nanyang Technology University.
“We also found that Farmhouse had signed a tenancy agreement with developer CapitalMalls for 28 units on the second floor of the complex. The supermarket is expected to start operating in the third quarter of this year when Star Vista is completed,” he said. Full story
