Singapore Retailers, Restaurants Complain Of Foreign Worker Shortage

SINGAPORE, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- Restaurants and retail industry players were complaining of foreign labour shortage after the government tightened immigration policies, Xinhua news agency said citing a local daily's report on Friday.
Some of the industry players said they were competing for the limited supply of foreign labour such as waiters and waitresses as well as sales staff, while others said they would have to raise prices in order to survive, the Chinese language daily Lianhe Zaobao said in the report. Full story
