Thai Civil Aviation: No probe on Tiger Airways yet

Thai civil aviation authorities are not subjecting Tiger Airways to safety scrutiny even though their Australian counterparts have grounded the no-frills carrier for being unsafe.
A senior official of the Thai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) said yesterday that it had so far received no advice from aviation authorities in Singapore, where Tiger's main operation is based, of the need to check any possible safety oversights.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has not required extra safety checks on Tiger Airways nor is it grounding its flights, as happened in Australia. Full story
