Singapore - Singapore's finance minister said Wednesday that he would work with new International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde to address immediate threats to financial stability and to contain potential repercussions to the global economy.
Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who also chairs the IMF's International Monetary and Financial Committee, said they 'will work to strengthen the multilateral surveillance process and, over the longer term, reform the international monetary system.' Full story
