ABC television reporter Peter Lloyd says he has never contemplated jumping bail and fleeing Singapore, where he is on drugs charges, despite facing a lengthy jail term and caning.
In the first interview since he was charged, Lloyd said he has been buoyed by support from family and friends.
"I will remain in Singapore," he said on Saturday.
"I've never, ever considered attempting to flee. I've been boosted by the flood of support (from) my family and friends.
