Singapore - A young orangutan died of a dislocated neck in a "freak accident" at the Singapore zoo in the second primate death in a week, the zoo said on Thursday. Atina caught her neck in a hanging noose on Wednesday which was part of a hammock in the apes enclosure, a spokesman said. Her mother, Anita, and other orangutans tried to free the two-and-a-half year-old primate, he said. By tugging at her neck, they dislocated it. Atina died instantly, the spokesman said. >>>> More
